It can be overwhelming to think about committing to a formal course of study. That is why I am here to help ease you into conversational French. We can speak back and forth so you feel comfortable having an easy interaction. I am happy to teach you the written and verbal basics. If you are traveling to a Francophone country, you can let me know your agenda so you are well-versed in the vocabulary and phrases necessary to have appropriate dialogues.  Commit to one lesson and see where it goes. That really depends on the person, your existing level of French, and how fluent you would like to become. I cannot promise you will be at your goal after any specific number of lessons, as everyone’s goals, starting level, and background are unique. Instead, we will make a customized plan based on your starting level and what you would like to achieve with our lessons. Before we set a goal and determine how dedicated you would like to be, try one lesson. If you enjoy it, we can move forward. If you are already taking a course, depending on the course, once or twice a week with me should put you ahead of the game. I can help with pronunciation/conversation, homework, and correcting/giving feedback on papers, etc. I charge by the hour however you want to use my time. If you are not taking a course, I also recommend at least once or twice a week for retention purposes. If you want to be accelerated, the more immersed you are, the better. Start by taking one lesson to see for yourself how we can make a plan to fit your needs. I can create a custom course for you to learn privately or help you one on one with a course you are already taking. We can practice back and forth conversation. I can help you with your homework, discuss literature, and correct/give feedback on your papers. I will also prepare you to travel to a Francophone country.
